Née en 1994, Valentine Bouvet travaille le dessin et la peinture à l'huile.
Born in 1994, Valentine Bouvet works with drawing and oil painting.
Valentine Bouvet dessine pendant ses 20 premières années, avant de choisir la peinture à l'huile comme medium de prédilection.
Ses oeuvres réalistes, parfois au bord du surréalisme, reflètent l'image du corps de la femme qu'elle a construit depuis son enfance.
Elle s'interroge sur ses idées et pointe du doigt ces normes à travers ses traits.
Fascinée par les courbes et les pigmentations infinies de chaque corps, Valentine Bouvet interprète ses souvenirs, ses rencontres.
Elle représente le mouvement et la couleur en signe de force et d'affirmation.
Elle met, donc, un point d'honneur à représenter la société, du traitement que celle-ci réserve aux femmes et de cette manie de vouloir tout commenter.
De belles couleurs, de jolies formes pour attirer l’oeil sur ce qui la dérange.
De la jalousie de certaines, au machisme de certains, elle veut exposer une vision intime de ce qu'elle a vécu, de la difficulté à se positionner dans un monde où une femme doit toujours prouver.
Après avoir exposée en avril 2023, l'artiste prépare une nouvelle exposition solo.
Valentine Bouvet drew for her first 20 years, before choosing oil painting as her favorite medium.
Her realistic (surrealistic sometimes) works reflect the image of the female body that she has built since childhood.
She questions her ideas and points to these standards through her features.
Fascinated by the infinite curves and pigmentations of each body, Valentine Bouvet interprets her memories, her encounters.
She represents movement and color as a sign of strength and affirmation.
Therefore, she makes it a point of honor to represent society, its treatment of women and this mania for wanting to comment on everything. Beautiful colors, pretty shapes to draw the eye to what bothers her.
From the jealousy of some, to the machismo of some, she wants to expose an intimate vision of what she has been through, of the difficulty of positioning herself in a world where a woman must always prove herself.
After exhibiting in April 2023, the artist is preparing a new solo exhibition.
